Hi guys! I will call this entry "The Person You Look Up To" post because it's about the people I look up to, obviously. I remember posting something like this before when I started blogging again here on Blogger and I remember it being a countdown. This time I'm gonna try to make it a little different by removing the count down part. I've only deactivated my twitter and hour ago or less and I'm really very eager to activate it again, but I won't. I'm gonna try to resist tweeting.
Anyway, last summer I attended John Robert Powers again and one of the things that sinked into my head is that you should always have to have at least one person to whom you look up to. It does not have to be your parents or a relative or Jose Rizal or president Obama. The important thing is that that person inspires you and motivates you into doing what you love.
In my case, I used to say John O'Callaghan whenever people ask me who my "idol" is. But lately I realized that it's not only John whom I look up to because I look up to The Maine as a whole and as a band and I like them not because John is the front man but because they taught me that I should always take advantage of everyday I wake up under the sun. Aside from The Maine I also look up to a lot of bands like All Time Low and The Cab. Before anything else I would like you all to meet the man behind The Maine and This Century's and other band's awesome photos. The really awesome and inspiring, Dirk Mai.

I remember telling you guys that I failed the qualifying exam for Literature, right? The failure lead to me thinking about what I really want to do in the future, which is to be involved in social media be it magazine, radio, or national television. It will be really fun to do something that you are really passionate about and give it all you got. That prolly is the main reason why my I made the decision to shift out of literature and shift in to communication arts (other school calls it multi-media arts). That's also the reason why I posted a picture of Dirk Mai, because I want to be like him because he's doing what he loves, living his dream, and wearing his passion.
I just wished I realized all of these earlier, but then again it's never too late. So my friends, start doing the things you really love so that in the end you won't have regrets.
