Sometimes I'm thinking about dropping out of school and forming my own band. A lot of people does that in the States, I just don't know here in Manila. I don't even know if people here in Manila would even bother listening to local bands. We're westernized people. I know you think so too. Filipino teenagers especially the ones in the middle class would rather go to an overpriced foreign band concert rather than a free all-Filipino music festival. Correct me if I'm wrong. I've been to two concerts this 2012 and I've never been more excited to see foreign bands perform right in front of me, compared to going to gigs of local artist, I feel absolutely nothing. Well, not absolutely nothing but rather an "okay lang" not that excited feeling. Parang there's nothing special in them, not that I'm judging them or something pero totoo naman eh. Even I will admit that I'd rather go to Maroon 5's concert even if it will slash 10K off my parents' wallet than going to Kamikaze's free gig at a club. I therefor conclude that I shouldn't drop out of school even if I have the best intentions because those things do not work here in Manila. I have to be a college grad for me to be able to get a stable job.
